How has been your 2025 been so far? This last past quarter year has been busy here at Long Ride Shields. We had one of the largest Black Friday Sales and turnout in recent memory, and we couldn't be more thankful to all our loyal customers and we have caught up with all our orders. Now speaking of orders, we understand some people are still waiting on the mail to deliver their shields. This is one topic i thought we should bring up. We understand many have experienced issues with USPS.
As many people know, for years, we've had a free shipping option. For a time, we had free shipping with UPS until they increased their cost exponentially around the time to covid. We then moved to USPS for our free ship option, as opposed to removing said free shipping options or passing the cost along to our loyal customers. USPS has proved reliable for about... ehhhh... 75% of the time? Most of the time our customers get their packages on time, in good condition, and there's no issues... There are the other times that leave even us scratching our heads...
Of course once a shield leaves our docks, its outside of our control. We can follow the tracking numbers in their system, and even call USPS, but at that point we have as much information as you probably do. And in some situations, when it's looking clear that the package is lost, we have and will go ahead and remake an order and reship it out. Of course we can file a claim, but that even takes months to get back. We still do have UPS options, and on the occasion, we have had UPS lose packages or delayed packages as well. Sometimes it does feel like a no-win situation.
With the Holidays here, if you are looking to buy a windshield as a gift, buy it early if possible. Have patience and know we share in any frustration when it comes to late or lost packages. Also know that we know probably as much as you do when it comes to tracking delayed shipments. Have a wonderful holiday season guys and thank you for your loyalty!
