What a busy and crazy month we have had. To be fair, Street Vibrations in Northern Nevada is always a busy and chaotic time of year, especially if you're in the Motorcycle Industry. But this one just seemed to be busier for some reason. In years past, we have had our booth in Carson City and that has always been our comfort Zone. This time was different. Not only did we fully expect and anticipate going to Carson City, a week prior to the show, as we preparing and prepping, we noticed a change to our show information... It was for the Reno Harley Location, not the Carson location as we were expecting.
From my understanding, this was the first time we were at this particular location in over a decade. Of course this included last minute announcements in the change in venue and email and social media campaigns to try to get the word out there. Most got the word and met us in Reno, and some sadly went to Carson City and didn't get the messages. Regardless, we had a blast. We offered free installs and met with customers young and old, new and repeat, and got to hear life stories and testimonies on how they loved their shields.
We also got the chance watch events such as the worlds SLOWEST racing competition in which ironically a long time LRS customer of ours won! We also were entertained by the Globe of Death, and many other games and events throughout the days. What was even more rewarding was the emails after the show, when bikers who bought our shields rode home, telling us about their ride back and what a difference our shields made on and for them!
It is unknown at this time whether we will be in Carson City next year or back in Reno, or both... But most definitely, we will be there somewhere and if you're on the west coast, come out and enjoy the fun, friendship, and Long Ride Shields!
